Sample business thank you letter
There are two samples below.
The first thank you letter was written to a customer thanking him for the testimonial he has given.
The second letter is another sample thanking the person for advice.
Finally I answer a question from a reader at the end of this article.
She asked for alternative wording for saying thank you.
Business Thank You Letter - Sample 1
Dear Mr. Bertrand,
Thank you for allowing us to use your kind letter of appreciation in our advertising. As a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction, we prefer words of praise from customers to words of praise from copywriters.
I hope we are able to repay your favor by providing you with the best products and the best service for sometime to come. Thank you again for the kind words and for giving us the chance to live up to them again in the future.
Sincerely,
Business Thank You Letter - Sample 2
Dear Ms. Granger:
I appreciate your words of wisdom concerning a solution to the problems I have been experiencing lately with a co-worker. I discussed the situation with her and we have come up with a good compromise. We are both much more comfortable in each others presence now that the situation has been confronted.
Thank you for listening and for offering such sound advice.
Yours Truly,
Sample business thank you letter - Reader Question:
Thank you for speaking at our conference
by Vicki
(Shakopee MN)
We had people from our organization speak at a company meeting. Some of the people are from our section of the company, others are from the head organization that owns us (we are run independently).
I would like to send the same thank you, addressed separately, to each speaker. I do not want the wording to be the typical "Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to speak at our meeting.....". What would your suggestion be to keep it simple yet cover each speaker?

Answer:
Hi Vicki,
One good way to do this is to send them a thank you card and in the card you can say:
On behalf of ACME Anvils, I want to thank you again for your help at our recent company meeting.
Other phrases you can use are:
- I want you to know how much ...
- It was gracious of you to ...
- My deepest thanks for ...
- Thank you for taking the time to ...
- Thanks for helping to make ...
- We can't tell you how much we ...
Regards,
